If you tried to keep track of every brand-new restaurant in Los Angeles, you might go a little wild. So just read this list instead. These are the new restaurant openings that seem like they have the most potential—although keep in mind, for the ones we haven’t tried, we make no promises. Go forth and be a pioneer.

Taco/Social is crafting fresh free-form tacos with flavors of tikki masala, chicken queso and Korean barbecue. The restaurant opened their doors on Colorado Boulevard Sept. 27, according to founding partner André Vener. Vener said the mission of Taco/Social is to bring the community together around great food.

Eagle Rock’s Taco Social — stylized as “Taco/Social” — opens in the former Lucky Bird space on Tuesday, September 26. This time around, locals can count on a taco menu with flavors from around the globe by a known group of Pasadena restaurateurs.

This is what happens when a great location presents itself and a group of friends, who are also restaurant operators, pool their talents.

Eight founders and leaders from several successful Pasadena-based restaurant brands — including Dog Haus, Blaze Pizza, Wetzel’s Pretzels, and Gus’s BBQ — have come together to open a new fast-casual taco concept.

Taco/Social, a casual dining spot with inventive, freeform tacos and a broad selection of tequila-based cocktails, announced that it will open Tuesday, Sept. 26 in the Eagle Rock community of Los Angeles. The restaurant will be housed in a historic, 5,000-square-foot brick building and includes indoor dining, bar seating, an outdoor patio and a private dining room for special events. Several Pasadena restaurateurs are behind the new concept.
